Prioritising Patients

A complete workshop resource set for facilitators and participants to assist frontline non-medical staff to make appropriate choices in scheduling special needs patients and to provide care or referral to patients presenting in emergency or serious health conditions. The workshop includes strategies for dealing with complaints and difficult behaviour and has a practical exercise in non-agressive self-defence to meet the growing needs of frontline staff to deal with violent and agressive behaviour.

The resource includes Facilitator and Participant Guides, Activity Book, PowerPoints and additional resource material. A flip chart for use by administrative staff is also included in the kit.

If supported by the Learner Guide and Assessment Manual for HLTAP301B, participants who go on to complete the full program can attain a Statement of Attainment for HLTAP301B.
