Master Classes

We are pleased to offer a series of Master Classes designed to provide superior skills for RTO staff and industry trainers. They will provide you with the 'tricks of the trade' that we use in our 3 businesses and for which we are widely recognised as being Best Practice practitioners. These classes may be linked to nationally recognised Units of Competency by completing the accompanying workbook and submitting evidence for assessment.

Please contact us if you are interested in going beyond. Some of these classes are linked TAE Diploma units and participants may go on to complete the full unit.

Classes planned for 2016 are:

Instructional design: 2 day workshop focussing on the development of unique and high quality resources for your business.

Developing resources to commercial publishing standards : 2 day workshop focussing on the aesthetics of publication design. Your resources are the public face of your business. Taking a little time to 'work smarter' will improve the look and readability of your work. Your learners will thank you for it. (L)

Complaints and difficult people: 1 day workshop covering the essential knowledge and skills to develop and manage policies and procedures to deal with complaints, appeals and critical incidents.

Beyond the ordinary : 1 day workshop which will open your eyes to the fact that innovation in training is as much about planning as it is to inspired genius. Come and learn how to free up your creative genii, build a dream and to engage others in making sure you achieve it.

Recognition of Prior Learning: More than tick and flick. A large number of our RPL clients fail in their applications because they don't understand what makes a good portfolio. This is particularly distressing for TAE students who should know how to unpack a training package but largely don't. Refer to our HBTA web site for tips and tricks on putting in a better application.(L)

All 2 day workshops are $300 per day which includes refreshments and all learning resources. It is desirable to bring a laptop computer to those workshops marked (L).

Those participants who choose not to complete the Unit assessments will be issued a Certificate of Attendace for evidence of attending professional development activities. If you wish to obtain a Statement of Attainment, you will need to pay an additional $75 per workshop and demonstrate competency through completing the required assessment tasks for all relevant units in any given workshop.

All MasterClasses will be held on the Gold Coast except where a viable class size is built up in Brisbane or regional areas. We require a minimum of 10 confirmed enrolments up to a maximum of 18 confirmed enrolments for a class to be held. Classes are waitlisted .

For more details of the training we can provide to you, and to be waitlisted, please contact us directly.
